Our Members

ARP Books was founded in 1996 in downtown Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Their mandate is to publish a dynamic combination of cultural, fiction, and non-fiction titles with an emphasis on progressive political analysis of contemporary issues while encouraging innovative new writing. Distributed in Canada by ListDistCo and represented by The Canadian Manda Group (trade) and Brunswick Books (academic). Distributed and represented in the US by AK Press.

At Bay Press is an independent, award-winning publisher. We strive to seek out new work by both established and undiscovered authors and artists to help bring their work to light. We are known for publishing original, thoughtful titles that are exceptionally well-designed. In addition to our trade list, we also release three - five handmade, limited edition titles a year. We are committed to investing in new initiatives to support creativity and diversity of voices and disseminating our titles worldwide. At Bay Press is a member of the Association of Canadian Publishers, Association of Manitoba Book Publishers, the Literary Press Group, the Fine Press Book Association and the Canadian Book Binders and Book Artists Guild. We are located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

CMU Press is a publisher of scholarly, reference, literary, and general interest books at Canadian Mennonite University. Books from CMU Press address and inform interests and issues vital to the university, its constituency, and society. Areas of specialization historically have been Mennonite studies and theology. We also publish literary and other creative work that is marked by excellence.

CMU Press emerged from CMBC Publications, established in 1974 at Canadian Mennonite Bible College, one of CMU's founding colleges. Along with the other centres established at CMU, at CMU Press we are honoured to live, learn, and serve on Treaty 1 Territory, the ancestral lands of the Anishinaabe, Cree, and Dakota First Nations and the homeland of the Métis Nation. CMU and CMU Press acknowledge the truth of past harms and ongoing wrongs and seek active reconciliation with Indigenous communities and people.

Great Plains Press publishes stories that are unique and reflect our region, and Canada, to the rest of the world. We publish new writers alongside literary veterans, and seek out exciting, distinct and challenging stories.
