Nestled in the Rocky Mountains, Renegade has published graphic novels and comic books since 2008. Our mission is to bring stories to life that we are passionate about and believe others will be too. Our stories are from new and diverse voices as well as the very best of Canadian and international storytellers.

A literary publishing house, Ronsdale Press is dedicated to publishing books from across Canada, books that give Canadians new insights into themselves and their country. Ronsdale Press publishes fiction, poetry, regional history, biography and autobiography, books on ideas about Canada, as well as young adult novels for ages 10 to 14, (Canadian historical novels are of special interest), but no picture books. Authors are welcome to send finished manuscripts, but, please, no first drafts. If you want to save postage, you can begin by sending a query. The best approach is to look at our website and see what sorts of books we favour publishing. You might even buy a few and read them. Please also enclose a brief bio with publishing credits, if any, along with an SASE. You should also indicate why the book will sell well. Poets should have published some poems in literary magazines before they attempt to interest us in an entire book. Domestic Distribution: PGC/Raincoast. Founded by award-winning author Edward Willett, Shadowpaw Press publishes new fiction and non-fiction by established and emerging authors, plus new editions of notable, previously published work, including children’s books, young adult books, and science fiction and fantasy.

Founded in 2022, Stonehewer Books publishes nonfiction by established Canadian authors and high-quality literary fiction by Canadian writers at any stage in their careers. We do not publish young-adult fiction, nor do we publish poetry. Writers are welcome to approach us with project outlines or with finished books. We appreciate receiving a biographical sketch with a submission. Stonehewer is a member of the Literary Press Group and is distributed by LitDistCo.

Strong Nations is an Indigenous publishing house and online bookstore located in Nanaimo, BC, on the traditional and unceded territory of the Snuneymuxw First Nation. Uplifting Indigenous writers and artists since 2010, Strong Nations is a leading publisher of Indigenous children's fiction and non-fiction, books for middle grade readers, graphic novels, and educational resources.
