Our Members

Véhicule Press publishes fiction, non-fiction (social history, urban issues) translations, and vintage Canadian noir. We publish writing of quality, in all its diversity, by Canadian authors, with a commitment to publishing first-time authors. We are publishing from Tiohtià:ke, the Mohawk name for a historic place for gathering and trade for many First Nations. As a minority language publisher in Quebec we are well-positioned to present the literature arising out of our community—authors writing in English, and francophone writers in translation.

WaveMaker Press publishes children’s books featuring strong, engaged youth in contemporary and traditional settings. As an Indigenous-owned publishing company, we are committed to empowering youth by working with Indigenous authors, story tellers, illustrators, knowledge keepers and cultural advisors to ensure that our books are authentic, accurate, and respectful.

Wilfrid Laurier University Press publishes award-winning scholarly research and writing in a variety of formats, including books, audiobooks, and scholarly podcasts, across the humanities and social sciences. Lists include: Canadian literatures and visual cultures, Indigenous studies, Black Canadian studies, critical race studies, gender and sexuality studies, interdisciplinary environmental studies, music, life writing, critical book history and publishing studies, Canadian and local histories, social work, and sports studies. Broadly, WLU Press supports writing and scholarship rooted in the principles of social justice. Distributed in Canada by UTP; in the United States by Ingram Academic; and, rest of world by Eurospan.
