Liana Cusmano (BiCurious George) is the 2018 Montreal Slam Champion, runner up in the 2019 Canadian Individual Poetry Slam Championship and a participant in the 2019 Spoken Word Residency Program at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity. Alison Dowsett MFA, BFA Freelance Writer, Editor and Proofreader

I am a writer, copyeditor, development editor and proofreader with a background in literary, cultural, and academic publishing. I have two creative writing degrees and an endless passion for stories and ideas. I work with independent authors, academics and others in the publishing industry to create and communicate.

My background is in arts, education and hospitality. I have co-created theatre pieces, mentored primary and secondary students in creative writing, and edited a literary journal.

Cameron Duder Freelance editor and indexer

I have a PhD in history from the University of Victoria, Canada and lectured in history, gender studies, sociology, and visual culture before becoming a freelance editor and indexer in 2010. I specialize in editing and indexing works in sexuality and gender studies, history, cultural studies, English literature, anthropology, art history, and visual culture.

My publications are in the history of sexuality, women’s history, and the history of mental health. I was the recipient of the 2003 Hilda Neatby Prize for Best Article in Canadian Women’s History (English-language), awarded by the Canadian Committee on Women’s History, and the 2004 Canadian Committee on the History of Sexuality award for Best Article in the History of Sexuality in Canada. My book Awfully Devoted Women: Lesbian Lives in Canada, 1900-65 was selected for the 2011 Over the Rainbow Books list, a book list from the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Round Table of the American Library Association, and for the 2011-2012 BC Books for BC Schools list, selected and evaluated by teacher-librarians (Association of Book Publishers of BC).

Nathan Caro Fréchette Freelance editor and graphic designer

Nathan Caro Fréchette is a queer transgender sequential artist, designer, editor, publisher, and author. He has published over a dozen short stories, both graphic and prose, as well as five novels, three graphic novels, and two works of nonfiction. He is the author of the online comic Some Assembly Required on Tapas. He has taught creative writing over a decade, and has a degree in Film Studies and another in Sequential Art. He was the founder and director of the French Canadian literary magazine Histoires à Boire Debout, an editor for the French Canadian graphic novel publisher Premières Lignes, and is a co-founder of the Ottawa-based publisher Renaissance.
