Established in 1901, UTP publishes scholarly, reference and general interest books in Canadian history and literature, medieval studies, social sciences, etc., as well as scholarly journals. Approximately 150 new titles are released each year, and a backlist of over one thousand titles is maintained in print. In addition to Scholarly Publishing, High Education and Journals Divisions, the Press provides digital printing and creative services throughout the UTP Print. At the North York location, the Distribution Division warehouses and distributes books for UTP and approximately 70 client publishers from across Canada.
