LIVRES CANADA BOOKS (LCB)
Livres Canada Books is an Industry Association, located in Ottawa, ON, that assists Canadian book publishers in the development and increase of sales in international markets by providing market intelligence as well as financial, promotional, and logistical support.
In this 12-month contract position (replacing a maternity/parental leave), you will be reporting directly to the Executive Director and will be executing and supporting LCB's communication and marketing activities through its website and publications. Working in a team-oriented environment, you will write, edit and publish main articles, reports, advertising, electronic (including newsletter) and website publishing. You will act as webmaster, post information and keep the website current and up-to-date, as well as develop and execute an overall website strategy for the LCB. You will coordinate the production of LCB publications. You will coordinate market intelligence, and professional development as well as develop and implement marketing and production plans for all LCB's publications. You will control budgets for your sector of activities. You will provide technical support for seminars/webinars, participate in the planning, reviewing and development of LCB's activities and maintain close collaborative relations and liaison with LCB staff to share information regarding all aspects of your duties.
You have a post-secondary degree in communications, business administration or other relevant field of studies. You demonstrate a good knowledge of the Canadian book publishing industry in both English and French sectors. You possess superior editing and paper- and electronic-based production experience. You have good organizational and interpersonal abilities and are effectively fluent in English and French, oral and written.
